To Time Magazine's "Man Of The Year"
I'll bet there's a Stevie Wonder song to express every mood.

Dear Mr. George Walker Bush:

(Take it Stevie)
We are amazed but not amused
By all the things you say that you'll do
Though much concerned but not involved
With decisions that are made by you

But we are sick and tired of hearing your song
Telling how you are gonna change right from wrong
'Cause if you really want to hear our views
"You haven't done nothing"!

It's not too cool to be ridiculed
But you brought this upon yourself
The world is tired of pacifiers
We want the truth and nothing else

And we are sick and tired of hearing your song
Telling how you are gonna change right from wrong
'Cause if you really want to hear our views
"You haven't done nothing"!

Jackson 5 join along with me say
Doo doo wop - hey hey hey
Doo doo wop - wow wow wow
Doo doo wop - co co co
Doo doo wop - naw naw naw
Doo doo wop - bum bum bum
Doo doo wop

We would not care to wake up to the nightmare
That's becoming real life
But when mislead who knows a person's mind
Can turn as cold as ice un hum

Why do you keep on making us hear your song
Telling us how you are changing right from wrong
'Cause if you really want to hear our views
"You haven't done nothing"!
Yeah

Jackson 5 sing along again say
Doo doo wop
Doo doo wop - oh
Doo doo wop - co co co
Doo doo wop - sing it baby
Doo doo wop - bum bum bum
Doo doo wop - um
Sing it loud for your people say
Doo doo wop - um um um

Doo doo wop - stand up be counted, say
Doo doo wop - co co co
Doo doo wop - ow
Doo doo wop - bum bum bum
Doo doo wop - ah hum

Can you tell The Nut House had the jukebox loaded up with Little Stevie Wonder disks? I'll be going out of town Monday, but I'll check in with the staff this week. Big New Years Eve party next Friday, hope to see lots of old friends and some new ones as well.

Special tonight: Waking the Bush Pig(it's a real drink, honest)

All I Want For Christmas...
This is just one example of why Stevie Wonder should have EVERY lifetime music award.

Someday at Christmas men won't be boys
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free

Someday at Christmas there'll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life's really worth
There'll be peace on earth

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime

Someday at Christmas we'll see a Man
No hungry children, no empty hand
One happy morning people will share
Our world where people care

Someday at Christmas there'll be no tears
All men are equal and no men have fears
One shinning moment my heart ran away
From our world today

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime

Someday at Christmas man will not fail
Take hope because your love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmastime

My Little Hammer
Mood:  lyrical
Well folks, I've put out a soap box at the Nut House.

Things aren't going the way I'd hoped this holiday season. And the thought of 4 more years of this mess will never reach the acceptance phase. So the new motto at The Nut House is "Eat, drink & be merry, for tomorrow we fight the good fight another day".

So, grab your hammers and bells, and get ready to sing out(I'll leave that one to my sister-you don't want to hear me sing).

The special tonight is a Pusser's Rum "Painkiller"(check out the John Paul Jones decanter).

No longer just a witness,

Somebody At FOX 11 Gets It
Tonight on the local FOX 11 news, two "Christmas" related stories ran back to back.

The first, a "Toys for Tots" involving a car club event gathering toys for "needy" children. The very next story was titled "Designer Doggie Gifts", featuring $300 plus dog "purse" carriers, cashmere dog sweaters, and Juicy Couture charm dog collars.

The anchors read the copy for both with absolutely no irony. Maybe the Producer gets it.

Tomorrow is Santa Lucia Day. Girls, get your candles ready.

Why Leggett and Not Novak?
Anyone else fine it interesting that Vanessa Leggett is going to jail and Robert Novak is not?

Friday Night Movie Night will be out on the patio/pier tonight. It's nice and warm at the coast, Hot Toddies optional tonight.
Feature #1, All The President's Men(1976). At the moment, I'm stuck for a 2nd flick with a journalist/reporter "under fire". Maybe The Year Of Living Dangerously(1982)? Suggestions welcome.

Mr.Man made it home last night. No more traveling 'til Christmas(yea).

My condolences to all those at the Alrosa Villa.

What Were They Thinking?
Mood:  quizzical
Did the administration think D-Rummy was gonna get a good photo-op out of his visit?

Question: Where is everyone? Has The Nut House gone too political? Well... deal with it.
