Could any of you talk me through how to have a type a URL and actually link to the URL? I hate to ask patrons to "copy & paste".

After or during your entry, but before you hit "post" highlight the link and click on the little figure eight (it's supposed to be a little chain"link" symbol) on your tool bar and that should do the trick.
