Next Stop...
Mood:  party time!
Now Playing: "Night Train" James Brown's 20 All Time Greatest Hit!
Alright, I better wrap up Charade...Pt.3 before I move on.

Well, Mr.Man said Norma had a lot of chintz. He should have said chintzy stuff. That said, Norma is in her 90s, so whatever she likes, more power to her. Think "Sunset Blvd.", but 1960s & 70s reproductions. Norma's 2nd husband died over 10 years ago, after that, she moved back up to L.A.(well, The Valley).

I'm certain she's on a tight budget, she gets no residuals and she finished only one picture, her last until 1996, after SAG was established. Guess that's why she's renting out her home for shoots.

FYI- the topless "actresses" (yes there were a couple of them) were fully dressed when I arrived. And it turns out Mr.Man was lighting the set and shooting BTS, not shooting the "feature presentation", so he'll get paid, but no credit -Thank God! I'd better move on now, before I write something that could reveal my secret identity(ha), but along with the "TA's", a former... adult film star was making an extended cameo appearance. He was fully clothed - Thank you very much.

On to the Next Stop...

Is everyone(tripod bloggers included) on their way to Boston? It's that or, if I buy into The Prophet Rancelot, the rapture's come and I've been...left behind.

Anyway, as I've said on another blog(Vance's), I'm a registered Democrat, but in the General election, I vote for the person, not the party(are there too many commas in that last bit?). But I have no real interest in either convention. With today's technology, conventions aren't really necessary. There's no need to pull party members from California, to the New Your Islands, when we have picture cell phones, satellite up links, live streaming Internet bla bla bla. But... you know how we love tradition, especially Party traditions.

How can we at The Nut House participate in the Democrat convention starting this weekend, and the Republican convention in NYC in September? It shouldn't matter what your affiliation is, a party's a party.

Sunday afternoon, we will have a Boston High Tea Party. Any ideas for the other 3 days would be greatly appreciated. I'll ask about the RNC conventions in about a month. You know, when I was little, I thought GOP stood for Government Of the People- ha!!

For those patrons who don't have the time, or can't be bothered checking the memoirs of The Nut House, Mr.Man does not work on pornos, just low budget "schlock"... occasionally.

Hej, Chinq:

Hhmmmmmm . . . a Boston High Tea Party; if it were really in Boston, I could be there in person! Otherwise, if everybody's a-headin' to Boston, I'll remember to stay out of the way. The traffic's bad enough now! The Tunnel's gonna be a mess!

I, too, thought that GOP stood for Government of the People; after all, they rammed that into us at school - Government of the people, by the people, and for the people (I'm not sure I've got them in the right order). The first thing I remember about politics was when I was really small, and my father was talking about "Goldwater." You can just imagine what I made out of that - I took it totally literally - and boy, did I think I could use me some of that! I used to look down the well for it.

Inga,

Why don't you ever ask who I'm talking about? You are so polite. So sorry you'll be in Boston next week. Are you stocking up on supplies, like there's a big "Nor-Easter" on the way?

I'm surprised you didn't get Goldwater & Goldfinger confused. Like Dr. Spock & Mr. Spock.

I'm a little younger than you, so I confused Ed Muskie(Dem. candidate)with Big Muskie(giant coal strip mining shovel). Was he known at one time as Big Ed Muskie? That would explain a lot.

Load up on food, water, snacks, videos(whatever technology you have). The Dem's a-comin'.

How about Circus Night where the elephants and asses get together and and see who can kick the shit out of each other. You could serve cotton candy and rum and coke. You would think the elephant would have the advatage, but remember the ass can kick, so it could be a great party.

Nessa,

I don't know if my insurance will cover a circus, but maybe we'll skip High Tea in August and take a roadtrip. Do you think Sacramento is a fit setting for the WestCoast Circus?

The problem with these Party symbols is that their asses(both)have royally kicked by a Chimera. See, in a secret underground laboratory, genetic experiments went awry.

If any of the regulars of The Nut House can draw, I'll commission a rendition of... Proboscidea asinus.

Hej!

I try not to ask questions if the answer hasn't been volunteered. Don't want to commit any "boundary violations."

As for Goldwater, I thought I was about five when that episode occurred, but after checking on the 'Net, I guess I must have been about eight? Was I that STUPID at eight? God help me! (Dad also had a fit when he found me checking out the well; I had to push aside a big metal cover.) Did they HAVE Goldfinger back then?

If there's going to be any Big Nor'easters on the way; I don't know anything about 'em. I actually avoid that kind of knowledge - don't like scaring myself (unless it's a REAL Nor'easter, in the middle of winter - which is why I have a Jeep).

God I hate Boston! The traffic's horrible, there are too many people, and they're all in such a big hurry - if you're driving in Boston, you have to have eyes in the back of your head. My best friend since we were 10 works in Boston. Poor thing. I don't know how she stands it, since she has over an hour-and-one-half commute. I'd sell my house first (shit, what am I saying? That's what I'm DOING!).

I never had the problem of confusing Mr. Spock with Dr. Spock. I couldn't - for I was in LOVE with Star Trek, and therefore, couldn't make that mistake (I did not love Mr. Spock. He wasn't cute enough. I went for the HUNK, Captain Kirk!). As for Dr. Spock, Mom had the paperback, and I used to consult it all the time in order to tell her how she was raising us kids wrong. She wasn't pleased.

Hey! Hope you're having a great weekend.
I.
