If You Remember The 60s...
Bla, bla, bla. I remember half of the 60s, which is pretty good considering I was in utero a good chunk of 1963.
I don't remember as much as this
Little Peanut, and I don't know if that's a good, or a bad thing. I remember Apollo launches, Mr. Rogers going national, Flower Power, and two of the four political assassinations of that decade. What the Hell was wrong with us?
Two brothers, and two brothers in arms.
Where are our leaders today? I am not a leader, but a movement full of leaders seems unable to progress in a single direction. I am a follower, a supporter. I can be a cheerleader, an organizer. I am waiting for a leader, and I am not easily fooled by pretenders.
The freekin'
Age of Aquarius doesn't really start for another 595 years. Will the Year of the Rooster wake "us" up from the drooling sleep of the Year of the Monkey?
In remembrance:
"America... just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable."
Hunter S. Thompson
"You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong no matter who does it or who says it."
Malcom X
Happy Presidents' Day.
